Holiday Cheer

This weekend, we enjoyed time with friends at our first holiday party for the season. We had a great time! Every couple that came brought a holiday gift, and then you pick a number out of a hat. The first person selects the gift they want, and then the next person can either select from the remaining gifts - or steal the gift someone else picked! It was a lot of fun! We came home with a gift certificate to Cold Stone - Jay's favorite!

A Visit From Florida

This weekend, my friend Holley and her husband Eric (newlyweds!) were visiting New York for a family wedding. They were able to set some time aside to come and see us for a few hours. It was great to get to see them!

Reunion Time

This weekend, Jay and I attended my 20th High School Reunion. It was so great seeing everyone from high school again. Luckily, I have kept in touch with many of my high school friends, and even though two are out of state, we see each other often.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving dinner, we went to my parents house. It was just the four of us, but that never stops my mother from cooking for twenty! Afterwards, we went to see the rest of our family at my aunt's house where have dessert and relax!

Jay gets ready to dig in! A very big bird for just four people!

Relaxing

For a change, we didnt have anything planned this weekend. So, other then a few errands we needed to do, we pretty much stayed in all weekend. We watched Jim Carey's - The Number 23. It was very interesting, a little obsessive, and had a great twist ending that you dont see coming. Its great to sit back and do nothing now and then!

Halloween Party

We helped chaperone a Halloween party on Saturday at Donna & Frank's (baby's future Godparents) for her 14 year old twins. There were about 25 teens at the party and everyone had great costumes! Jay was dressed as Cartman from South Park (complete with a bag of cheesy poofs) and I went as an old lady that lost her cat (she sat on it!). Donnas went as a clown, and Frank went as a Gray Pixel (from the television commercials). We had a great time.

Pumpkin Picking

Today, Jay and I went pumpkin picking. It was a little chilly and quite breezy, but we still had a great time. We bought a bale of hay, four big pumpkins, three mini pumpkins, fresh vegetables and apples. We stopped at our favorite place for roasted corn and apple cider. We placed the bale of hay by our front door with the pumpkins on top, all except one which will be carved and brought to work for a carving contest. Once Halloween has passed, I will cut up the pumpkins to make fresh pumpkin pie and roasted pumpkin seeds (my favorite!).
